The SPIPA Health & Wellness Programs aim to reduce chronic disease and cancer rates within the SPIPA consortium tribal communities—Chehalis, Nisqually, Skokomish, Squaxin Island, and Shoalwater Bay. This is achieved through prevention, awareness and survivorship support activities with a health equity focus that includes cancer screening and diagnostic support.
Supports community-driven activities, using a multidisciplinary approach to cancer prevention. Also provides support to cancer survivors.
Enhances early detection of breast and cervical cancer by promoting education, raising awareness, facilitating access and referrals, and assisting with screening costs.
The SPIPA Health and Wellness Programs invite Tribal and community members aged 18 and older to participate in the Annual Community Wellness Survey. Your input is essential in helping SPIPA shape programs and activities that reflect your needs, demonstrate health progress over time, and support continued grant funding. The survey takes just a few minutes to complete. Participation is voluntary, and all responses are strictly confidential— no name or identifying information is required.
To submit your community cancer health event or an update, please email the details to us at hope.adams@spipa.org
