Providing employment, training, and support services to help our members achieve self-sufficiency and career success
Public Law 102-477 (often just called “477”) is a federal law that lets tribes combine funding from different employment, training, education, and support programs into one unified plan. Instead of running separate programs with separate rules, tribes can design services that work better for their communities. At SPIPA, tribes use 477 to connect job training, education support, and family services in a more streamlined way so individuals and families can get the help they need in one place.
